The Pratham charity event helping indian children with literature. This was a truly amazing show not to be forgotten, the venue, indian garments, models...THE LOT!
The show was supposed to be from 3-9, but the designers kept changing their minds and in the end, we stayed till 12! Lucky we had taxi's to take us home as the underground stations were closed about that time.
The event ~~ Pictures speak louder than words...
All of the garments shown at the event were truly beautiful, with practically every single detail hand sewn on, using Swarovski crystal beads, and they weren't light at all.
The show went really well, on show and back stage dressing the models, where between about 10 of us we had to dress 20 models in this narrow alleyway beside the main arena, so quite cramped indeed!
Along the show there were auctions, for example a big bottle of wine being sold for £55,000!! but fair to say, each ticket for the event cost £250.... >.< thinking that a normal fashion show is expensive for £35.. think again! ^_^
So yesterday i helped assist in a photo shoot, working with true professionals, seeing familiar faces when i was working at Graduate Fashion Week. They are true pro's. No venue was found so the whole shoot took place in my friend's back garden with a backdrop. Looking at the pictures, you seriously would not think it was taken in a back garden, they were THAT GOOD!!
My day started at 10am till about 7pm. A very long day sewing last minute pieces together, but so much fun with the hair and make up artists, photographer, model and of course the designer.
Next stop is LONDON FASHION WEEK =D
