Bigger wardrobe perhaps??

I have way too many clothes....or maybe just a really small wardrobe?? it was like a bomb the other day when i opened it and i just had to take EVERYTHING out and re-fold my clothes! So what you think of my folding? Haha!

This is completely random but, I went out the other night and went to see Far East Movement, they are awesome! Currently listening to their new album 'Free wired', which i recommend you to check out, especially their well known song 'Like a G6' and 'If i were you (OMG)'

Here's a few pictures from the night ~ for your eyes only <3

A quick buy in Oxford St =P

The christmas lights are up and its such a nice warm feel to the festive season, but its getting really cold, so wrap up warm people!! ^__^

My quick browse in Pull and Bear....

I really like the dress with the big pockets and the cowel neck at the front, as this can be dressed up or down very easily (£19.99). Wasn't too keen on the pink top/dress as it made me look really big! it was a nice top overall but it wasn't doing it for me =.= The last item which i tried on was the knit which caught my eye. the knit was on the mannequin in the shop floor, not knowing about the back detail with the buttons (and yes you can undo them!) it also has handy pockets at the front **love pockets**. A bit more pricey at £25.99

1 down, 4 in line...

My first interview over! >.< So last thursday i went for an interview at designers Teatum Jones for a work placement. It was quite nerve racking as i didn't know what to expect. I got there and the place was very small, with the two designers working closely together.

The interview process went really well with the designers having a kind and friendly personality. I found out that there were about 5 other students going for the same role and earlier found out that i didnt get through =( But no worries as i have another 3 lined up! Exciting stuff!! ^__^

Interview outfit:: Blazer (New Look £20) :: Dress (Zara £29.99) :: Tights (H&M) :: Boots (Asda £18)

Shopping for black trousers....?

Shopping for something you specifically want is hard. When you want something, you can never find it, and when you don't, it just pops up. Anyone get that? I can understand that it is quite annoying >.<

As part of uni, i have a few interviews lined up for placements next year **nervous but quite confident** so for prep i need black trousers!! Since going to uni i have lost weight (as my friend tells me) and i have slowly realised as my old black trousers are way too big! @_@

I spent the morning in Westfield whilst buying fabrics for my garments and went into Zara. My gosh there was so many people.

Instead of black trousers.. i ended up making a purchase of ------->>>>>>    =P

Its a very good buy for £29.99...not bad for replacing a pair of black trousers for a bold leopard print dress for interview =P and it comes in a different colour as you can see in the background.

NEW SHOES!!!!

I was on the way to Asda to buy some paper for my printer, browsing around the store as you do and found some nice comfy winter boots for a bargain price!! ^.^ I've been looking for some nice winter waterproof boots/shoes for ages and i came across these lovely brown boots for £14!!! i wore them out today and they are really comfy, i would definitely recommend this buy, even though its Asda.

Not far on the shelves, i saw these beauties <3  only for £18! Gosh i was only going in to buy paper and came out with two pairs of shoes! >__<" these black pairs have a nice touch to the hand, and can be worn for going out or for casual wear.

Geisha Much?

Happy bonfire weekend!! and happy Diwali for yesterday to my asian friends (not sure if thats how you spell it) ^.^

So i have realised that i haven't posted for a while **sorry**  Here is a piece which has been designed and made by me for one of my many projects.

Inspired by traditional japanese clothing and designers Viktor and Rolf (V&R). Simple shapes is the key to traditional japanese clothing, with large pieces of fabric which can easily be made to fit to any size.

Being a geisha, you need to stand out from the crowd to make yourself noticed above the rest along with your personality and the service that you give to entertain people. Your look is very important. Therefore, i have used bright colours which compliment each other quite well.

V&R are well known for their over exaggerated pieces of clothing which look AMAZING!!! So as a lover of V&R i have taken inspirations from their 'Flower Bomb' collection, researching into bows and how to make that blend in with the Geisha outfit.

The 'flower' was made with lots of strips of wired fabric and manipulated into a flower, consisting of many layers (up to 5 or 7 ~ cant remember) which is tied around the neck for support.

Fabrics used are brocade and satin. These give a shiny effect to the garment (as you can see from the pictures) which give a beautiful look to the garment.
